Crafting - A History
I come by my love of crafting through both nature and nurture. A favorite past time of summer camp and VBS were arts and crafts. My mother and grandmothers did various sewing and crafting projects. One of my earliest endeavors actually won me a prize at the county fair!

Over the years I added sewing, counted cross-stitch, crochet, and knitting to my crafting repertoire. (I may have also tried a quilt project or two...) I love the creative expression it brings - choosing the project, the materials, the colors, the recipient.
These days my primary outlets are knitting and crochet. I have projects lined up for the next couple of years. However, I have become rather dissatisfied with following patterns. I struggle to get the gauge correct most of the time and end up with items that are not quite right. So I have decided that I want to start making my own "recipes". Not patterns in the traditional sense but rather how-to create certain basic garments regardless of size, yarn and/or needles. I want to start with crochet and a simple raglan sleeve pullover.
Stay tuned.
